Pet Sitting F.A.Q.
Q. What should I bring with my pet when I bring him/her to stay overnight?
A. Please be sure to provide PPPS with enough food to last the length
of your pet's stay, any medications he/she must receive while in our care,
a record of your pet's most recent vaccination record along with a
thoroughly completed and signed Pet Sitting Agreement
which you may find on the page entitled "Forms".
Q. I have chosen to have PPPS visit my home for regular visits to feed,
walk & exercise my pet. How often and how long are the home visits?
A. Visits by PPPS to your home to check on your pet can be between
1-3 times per day & each visit 30-45 minutes depending on your pet's needs.
Q. What if my pet doesn't get along with other animals?
A. If your pet must not be around other animals, please inform PPPS
so that we can make arrangements to accomodate your pet.
There are in-house residents on Petite Paws
premesis and occassionally,
there are other animals who are either coming, going or staying during
the same time period as your pet. If you feel that your pet requires
special accomodations, please provide PPPS with this information
when making arrangements for pet sitting.
Q. What mesaures are taken if my pet normally gets along with other animals,
but doesn't get along with another pet staying with PPPS during his/her stay?
A. Pets who do not get along well while staying at PPPS are kept separate
from
one another and given their own space to sleep/eat/play.
They are never caged or deprived of comfortable accomodations.
Q. Will my pet be given less attention if he/she must be separated
or doesn't get along with other animals at PPPS?
A. Absolutely not. All animals who stay with
PPPS are given equal attention, love and care.
Q. Why must I provide proof of vaccination for my pet?
Is this information really necessary?
A. Pets that come to stay at PPPS for overnight sitting will be exposed
to other
animals at times, it is important to the health and safety of all of our visitors and
residents that they are kept safe from exposure to disease or illness.
Q. What if my pet gets injured or ill while in the care of PPPS?
A. PPPS will inform you immediately if any cause for concern regarding behavior
or health arises. If you are not reachable, we will contact your emergency contact
and take your pet for medical care if necessary.
Q. Must my dog have a license in order to be cared for by PPPS?
A. As opposed to vaccination, a dog license is not necessary to be
cared for by PPPS but is important information if available.
Have a question for PPPS that wasn't answered here?
